Meet Sharookh
As a Certified World Class Speaking Coach and Motivational Humorist, Sharookh Daroowala uses humor and stories to help his clients connect with their audiences and speak with impact and influence.
Sharookh empowers professionals in every aspect of preparing and presenting powerful presentations: from overcoming the dreaded fear of public speaking to delivering memorable messages, powerful presentations and improving sales and profits. He has conducted speech writing, delivery and communication workshops around the globe for clients ranging from nervous beginners to world-class speakers. Sharookh is also a Coaching & Program Director for one of the world’s largest TEDx events.
Business Experience and Background
Prior to engaging full time in transforming the presentation skills of professionals, Sharookh’s career included lengthy stints as an international banker in Mumbai, London, Hong Kong and Vancouver, award-winning real estate consultant and successful entrepreneur.

Sharookh received his B. Comm. (Hons.) and LL.B. degrees from the University of Mumbai, is Certified in Conflict Resolution, and in 2004 was recognized by Toastmasters International with its highest earned award of Distinguished Toastmaster.

His diverse multi-cultural background and experience includes living and working on four continents and travels to over 60 countries.
Public Speaking Awards
Twenty years ago, in his very first attempt, Sharookh became the Public Speaking Champion of British Columbia, Canada. And he has never looked back! In fact, Sharookh has gone on to win more public speaking contests in more categories (Prepared Speech, Impromptu Speaking and Speech Evaluation) than anyone else in the 80-year history of Toastmasters International in B. C.

In 2014, Sharookh prevailed over 35,000 contestants from 125 countries to become one of the Top 9 speakers in the world by reaching the Finals of the World Championship of Public Speaking in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. “Sharing the message in my heart to an audience of 3,500 was a humbling and empowering experience” says Sharookh.

In its new education program, one of Sharookh’s speeches is featured worldwide by Toastmasters International as a master-class in storytelling and connecting with the audience.

Sharookh is the Founding President and Mentor of Canada’s first competitive speaking Club. He is also the former President of Advanced Leaders Lab, Advanced Aurators and a number of other speaking and leadership clubs/groups.
